Privacy notice
Last updated: September 2026. This notice covers our email outreach and this website. Data we process for a customer under a contract and a data-processing agreement is covered by that agreement, not by this notice.
1. Who is responsible

2. This website
This site is plain HTML and CSS. It sets no cookies, runs no scripts, carries no analytics, and loads nothing from any other domain — no fonts, no images, no embeds. There are no forms on it: the unsubscribe and contact links open your own email program.
The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes the request as our hosting provider in order to deliver the page to you.
3. What we hold when we write to a business
For each business we contact we hold:
- the email address that was publicly available — a team address or a named person's work address — with the name that goes with it, and the business's name and website domain;
- the page where that address was published, and the date we read it;
- one fact about your public work, and the page it came from, because we write each email for its recipient rather than sending the same message to everyone;
- the messages we sent and any reply you send us;
- if you ask us to stop, your request and the fact that you asked.
We do not use tracking pixels, attachments or link tracking in our emails.
4. Where it came from
Before we write. The address was publicly available — on the business's own website or another public page — published by the business, or by the person in a business capacity. We record which page, and the date we read it. We did not buy, rent or receive it from anyone, did not take it from LinkedIn or X, did not guess it, and did not use software that searches for addresses.
If you reply. Anything you put in a reply comes from you.
5. Why we hold it, and on what basis
Purpose: to offer your business one of our services by email, one to one, and to handle any reply.
Our basis, where a law in your country asks for one: our legitimate interests in offering a relevant business service to a business, by writing one to one, about your work, to an address that was publicly available. We weigh those interests against yours. We send at most two messages per address, and we stop as soon as you ask.
6. Who else sees it
Our email provider, Fastmail, processes our mail on our behalf, and Cloudflare serves this website. We do not sell, rent or pass on your address, and we never pass on an address that asked us to stop.
7. How long we keep it

The one-way code is a keyed hash. It lets us check whether we have been asked not to write to an address, without keeping your address in clear.
8. How to stop us, and your rights
You can tell us to stop at any time, free of charge. Reply "stop" to any email from us, or use the unsubscribe page. We stop at once, and in any case within five business days. We do not send a confirmation email, because that would be one more message.
Depending on where you are, you can also ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected]. We will not delete the one-way code in section 7, because we need it to keep our promise not to write to you again.
9. How to complain
Please write to us first, at [email protected]. You can also complain to the data protection or spam authority where you are — in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner's Office; in Singapore, the Personal Data Protection Commission; in Australia, the Australian Communications and Media Authority; in New Zealand, the Department of Internal Affairs; in Japan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications; and in Hong Kong, where we are incorporated, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.
10. Who we write to
We write to businesses in the United Kingdom, the United States, Singapore, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, at addresses that were publicly available. In the United Kingdom we write only to incorporated companies: we do not send unsolicited email to sole traders or partnerships. In Japan we write only to a team or company address.
11. Hong Kong: direct marketing information
Our company is incorporated in Hong Kong, so Hong Kong's direct marketing rules may apply to us wherever you are. So that you have the information they call for:
- The use: we use your name and business email address in direct marketing — emails offering our own services.
- The kinds of data: your name, your business email address, your employer's name, and the public page where we found the address.
- The classes of marketing subjects: our own software, automation and data services for businesses. Nothing else, and we never market anyone else's products.
- Free of charge, at any time, you may require us to stop using your data for this: reply "stop", use the unsubscribe page, or write to [email protected].
- The same address is where you can tell us what you do or do not consent to, free of charge.

We will date any change to this notice at the top of this page.
